About Your Therapist

I'm a therapist based in Roanoke, Virginia, and I work with adults navigating the lasting effects of relationship trauma, PTSD, and anxious or avoidant attachment. My practice serves clients in-person in Roanoke and virtually throughout Virginia, so no matter where you are, support is within reach. I became a therapist because I believe people aren't broken or stuck—they're often waiting for enough safety to become curious about their story, understand the patterns that once protected them, and discover they no longer have to let those patterns define their future.

I specialize in helping adults who have experienced relationship trauma, chronic relationship patterns, and attachment wounds that keep surfacing in their closest connections. My approach is collaborative and nonjudgmental — you set the pace, and we move at the depth that feels right for you. At the core of my clinical work is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process and release distressing memories so they no longer define how you feel, relate, or move through the world.

I am a licensed therapist in Virginia, offering in-person sessions at 4419 Pheasant Ridge Rd., Suite 305, Roanoke, VA 24014, and virtual therapy for clients anywhere in the state of Virginia.

A Therapy Approach Built Around You

Every session is grounded in an understanding of how trauma lives in the brain and body — not just in conscious memory. A trauma-informed lens means the pace, depth, and direction of therapy are always shaped by what feels safe and manageable for you. You will never be pushed further than you are ready to go.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is the evidence-based cornerstone of my clinical work. It is a structured method that helps your brain reprocess distressing memories so they lose their emotional charge — allowing you to recall difficult experiences without the same intensity of pain or reactivity. Importantly, EMDR does not require you to retell your story in detail or relive painful events. The process is designed to be both effective and tolerable.

Attachment-based work helps you understand how your earliest relationships shaped your beliefs about safety, love, and trust — and how those beliefs continue to drive relationship patterns today. By working at this foundational level, we create durable change that extends far beyond symptom relief and touches the way you experience yourself and your relationships.

Therapy here is a collaborative partnership. Your goals guide the work; I bring clinical expertise, deep listening, and genuine compassion. No two treatment plans are identical because no two people's stories are identical. We build something designed specifically for you.
